The program helps older workers find jobs that match their skills, abilities, and work preferences while at the same time helping employers to fill their temporary, temporary-to- permanent, and permanent full- and part-time employment needs with reliable, skilled, and experienced workers.

Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)
Green Thumb operates this program which promotes employment and training opportunities for mature workers that will ultimately lead to employment off the program, and assists in community service jobs that are necessary for communities outside the urban areas. An innovative and cost effective federal program, SCSEP allows individuals to remain productive and independent by contributing their talent and services to their communities while earning a modest income. Participating individuals are able to find fulfillment, add to their skills, train for further employment, and stay off public assistance. Individuals must meet income guidelines

Mature Worker Employment Program
This program assists in the development and updating of employment seeking skills such as:

• application writing
• resume writing
• interviewing techniques
• labor market information
• job seeking and job retention strategies
• communication skills
• assessment of interest, attitudes, aptitudes and goals
