EXCUSED ABSENCE POLICY

Effective March 1, 2007

Excused absences should be recorded as attendance time not to exceed 2 days per month of missed

participation, with a limitation of 10 days per year.  Excused absences include:

•             Sick time
•             Medical appointments for self or family members
•             Required appointments with other service providers
•             Court dates
•             Job interviews
•             Attendance in non-countable activities
•             Good cause granted in accordance with DHS rule 461-130-0327

 

Excused absence hours should only be granted for days when the client is scheduled to participate. 

Excused absence hours are not allowable for paid work activities (UN, MI, PL, JT, and WS).
