If you are a worker who has been laid off, OR a youth between the ages of 18 and 24 and haven't already done so, please complete i-Match registration online at www.worksourceportlandmetro.org.

Go to the WorkSource Center closest to you to register for employment and training services

  • You will need your Social Security number
  • Bring a valid drivers license or legal picture ID with current address
  • If male over the age of 18, register for Selective Service at www.sss.gov before you go to the WorkSource Center
  • Be legal to work in the United States
  • Take the WIN assessments and complete the Welcome Process, which will take between 1.5 to 2 hours; no appointment is necessary
  • You will be assigned a Job Seeker ID#
  • Talk to the Welcome Team Member

Please research your chosen training program and determine pre-requisites for admission

On-the-Job Training National Emergency Grant

The purpose of On-the-Job Training contract (OJT) is to assist businesses in training and retraining skilled, productive workers. OJT's may be used to help train newly hired employees. WorkSource eligibility required. Please check the flyer for details. Contact the Regional Business Specialist.

Trainings available to all job seekers:

  • Workplace Foundational Computer Skills: Open to all job seekers to learn and increase their computer literacy skills for the workplace. The job seeker will have the opportunity to work independently and reinforce what they have learned in the basic or advanced computer workshops, work with the Vocational Trainer to receive one-on-one computer assistance and use a computer to perform job search related activities.
